Japanese Trading Card Game ‘Force of Will’ to Use Blockchain

The new platform is set to be released this coming September with the popular Japanese card company. FoW manufactures cards for over 30 different countries and is ranked 4th in sales volume in North America in the collectible game category. The card manufacturer plans on taking advantage of blockchain technology with its upcoming online simulator, “Force of Will Battle Simulator.”

The game will have tokenized items similar to the SoG concept and FoW’s 100,000 players will be able to utilize the specialized assets in gameplay. IndieSquare also says other feature services are coming as well stating:

In addition to secure game item trading on the blockchain, the new joint venture between IndieSquare and EverdreamSoft will allow interoperability of game items between different games.

BitCrystals Volume Has Soared While The Games Use Bitcoin Blockchain

Back in July, the launch of BitCrystals (BCY) for the SoG platform has seen significant trading volume as we reported during the launch. The game leverages the blockchain token assets to bring a richer experience to Trading Card Games (TCG). EverdreamSoft and IndieSquare hope the latest project with FoW will produce the same popularity that SoG has seen.

By combining IndieSquare’s Counterparty API services with EverdreamSoft’s easy to use dashboard for game management and asset registration, we hope this collaboration will enable a new wave of developers to utilize blockchain game items planting the seed for a generation of games and applications with interoperable assets and items.

The company states that more details about the project will be announced later this month. Meanwhile, the developers add the game will include an optimized mobile collection app and game developer interface for more robust features to be added. The Counterparty games created by EverdreamSoft are said to bolster the Bitcoin ecosystem because Bitcoin fees are paid as transactions occur.
